Good Morning Beauties,
I am just finally settling into a routine so I figured now would be a good time to share with you what I do at night.
My typical makeup routine really only consists of eye and lip makeup, in the summer I really don’t wear a lot of foundation. I typically start by putting my hair up in a high bun and putting on one of my terry cloth headbands that help old back any baby hairs and make it easier to wash my face.
Step 1: micellar water. This is my pre-wash step. I take my micellar water (at the moment I am using up my 2 bottles of Garnier micellar water) and I try to remove as much if my makeup as I can. Usually focusing on lip stains and the bulk of my eyeliner and eyeshadow.
Step 2: Eye makeup remover. At the moment I am using my Avon cream eye makeup remover. I actually use this for eyes as lips. I place a bit on a cotton pad, and gently massage my eyes and lips for about 5-10 seconds and the remover basically dissolves my makeup.
Step 3: Face wash- This step helps remove the remainder of the makeup and the residue from the first 2 products. I am currently using Clean and clears Lemon cleaner, however, this changes frequently, my only real requirement is that it foams up nicely.
Step 4: Rinse Rinse Rinse!
Step 5: Micellar water- yes This is only occasionally, sometime I will have a bit of residual mascara that transfers onto my skin I will use a little micellar water to remove it as it doesn’t irritate my eyes.
Step 5/6-Lavender water spray. (Used to be rose water) This is a new step for me and a DIY project I recently did. I am sure many people have used rose water, however lavender is antiseptic and great for anti-inflammatory, so I have made a lavender water spray that I am using on my skin every night (you can buy lavender water spray, but I will post my DIY soon) and It has been calming my skin, reducing redness and it is still new but I haven’t had any breakouts yet!
Step 6/7: Moisturize Moisturize Moisturize. Okay so this step is very important however I currently do not like the mosituriser I am using. I used to use the korres greek yogurt moisturiser and I loved it! However this new one just sits to heavy on my skin. When I find a new affordable one I am in love with I will share it with you guys!Step 6/7: Moisturize Moisturize Moisturize.
